Why did you join the Women Automotive Network?

I was looking to join a group of like-minded women to create connections, find inspiring rôle models and learn from them to progress my career.

 

Why is DE&I important to you?

I’ve travelled a lot during my career and worked with different nationalities, gender, age, etc and learnt that we are all humans with unique strengths, passions, and characters. We all, here on this planet, have rights for equal work and life opportunities.

 

What is the number one automotive trend you are keeping up with currently?

Shift from car ownership to usership is one of the important trends in the automotive industry, which requires OEMs to rethink their go to market strategies and develop new distribution channels like car subscription services. I am currently leading Mocean subscription services by Hyundai in the UK.

 

What are your predictions for the automotive industry in 2023?

Alternative fuel vehicles will continue to claim their place in the consumers consideration lists, with many more electric models being available to purchase and use. Hydrogen fuel cell technology will continue to expand within commercial vehicles market, following the increase in hydrogen fueling stations. We will also see innovation in the business models and go to market strategies for the established OEMs and new entrants.

 

Who is your inspirational woman?

My very first inspirational woman was my Grandma, who started here working career as an accountant at the age of 16 for her village collective farm. She demonstrated high work ethic standards, integrity and leadership skills, for that she was respected by the villagers. Beside her work life, she was very humble and human person, geniunly interested in other people. I learnt a lot from her.

 

What is your proudest career moment?

When I decided to enroll on the Executive MBA at Warwick Business School, such a life-changing moment.

 

What is the greatest challenge you have had to overcome?

Moving to a new country to join a new company in a new role, with a 14-months old baby to take care of, and my husband joining me after 12 months I’ve relocated. I’ve made it!

 

What was your first car?

Fiat Punto 3 doors silver, bought with my own money at age of 24

 

What advice would you offer to those considering starting a career within the automotive industry?

Follow your passion and chose the company with the purpose and values that are aligned to yours
