Daimler Trucks and Buses – the pioneer of commercial vehicles.

We founded the modern transportation industry with our trucks and buses more than 120 years ago. Today, with Daimler Trucks & Buses, we’re one of the largest global commercial vehicle manufacturers in the world, with more than 35 primary facilities and around 100,000 employees. We bring seven brands under one roof: Bharat Benz, Freightliner, Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, Setra, Thomas Built Buses and Western Star. In 2018 Daimler Trucks and Daimler Buses delivered a total of more than one-half million trucks and buses to customers.

The starting point and central focus of our work is our customers. They keep the world moving by enabling mobility for people and getting goods reliably, punctually and safely to their destination. We constantly develop new solutions and invent new technologies for them. Over the past decades we have set standards for our industry many times over – in terms of safety, fuel efficiency, reliability and driver comfort. Now it’s time for a further evolutionary step: emission-free driving. We are working on this, as we’ve done since the invention of trucks and buses, with an in-depth understanding of technology on the one hand and with the needs of our customers on the other.
