The Audi brand was founded in 1909 by August Horch. The four rings symbolize the brands Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer, which were consolidated into Auto Union in 1932. AUDI AG, with its headquarters in Ingolstadt, has belonged to the Volkswagen Group since 1966. 

Audi, Bentley and the three traditional Italian brands Lamborghini, Ducati und Italdesign together make up the Audi Group. Each brand stands for outstanding performance, pioneering technologies, fascinating design and extraordinary emotion. The high-performance Lamborghini models stand for extreme driving dynamics, unmistakable design, lightweight construction and high-quality materials and finish. Since 2012, the product range has also featured motorcycles built by the brand Ducati. The Audi Group has more than 87,000 employees (12/22).
