Women Automotive Network's first regional meetup in Lisbon, held at the enchanting Casa Dell’Arte Club House on 15 November, marked a significant step in fostering collaboration and inclusivity in the automotive industry, uniting brilliant minds from across Europe, while offering a platform for insightful and thought-provoking discussions.
The meetup was hosted by long-standing Women Automotive Network friends and visionaries, Dr. Angelika Berger-Sodian, a pivotal figure in the global mobility revolution, and Ahu Serter, Founder of Farklabs, with their journey beginning at the inaugural Women Automotive Summit in Stuttgart in 2019, where they first met.
The Network is making huge strides in its mission to bring together like-minded women, and the Lisbon-based event was another example of its continued growth across a global scale, as it works to strengthen the network of women in automotive, locally and globally, at the same time.
Roberta Avelino, methods engineer at Audi Brussels, praised the organisers, saying:
"Big KUDOS to the visionaries behind this event. The wealth of profiles and perspectives brought to light was not only interesting but also thought-provoking!"
“The first Women Automotive Network Regional Meet-Up in Lisbon was an amazing experience. I’m so glad to be part of the Women Automotive Network community – I got to know many wonderful women from the field, received insights, inspirations, and more." Another attendee added: “Incredible - one of its kind!”
The Lisbon meetup signifies the beginning of many more regional gatherings, alongside its four core, annual events, hosted both in person and virtually, each aiming to empower and unite women in the automotive industry.
