Why is DE&I vital to you?
I have always used diversity, equity, and inclusion as guiding principles for my actions and interactions in every aspect of my life. I strongly believe that all people are equal and should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or identity. I also believe that collaboration amongst a diverse range of perspectives, cultures, and experiences is vital for growth and evolution both in the workplace and in our everyday lives, as it results in more innovative, inclusive, and effective solutions.
What is the number one automotive trend you are keeping up with currently?
Advances in vehicle connectivity; this is partially because of my job and partially because I find it fascinating, particularly the concepts of remote diagnostics, software updates to the entire vehicle, and commands over-the-air. I’ve also been following data privacy and cybersecurity factors and how they tie into connectivity.
What are your predictions for the automotive industry in 2024?
I think there are a lot of exciting things on the horizon, but I think next year is the year of the EV. We will see not only an increased acceptance and adoption of EVs but also enhanced charging solutions and an expanded charging network. I also think we are going to see a lot more collaboration between industry players.
