Uta Holzenkamp was born in Loeningen, Germany, in 1969. After studying organic chemistry at the University of Münster, Heriott Watt University and The Ohio State University, she received her PhD from the Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz, Germany, in 1996. Uta Holzenkamp joined BASF’s Pharmaceutical Research Department in 1997. Since April 2018 she is heading the global business unit (GBU) Fuel and Lubricant Solutions which is part of BASF’s Performance Chemicals division
